Our daily life is like a ‘bracket’.  There is a “(“ which denotes the opening of our day which is waking up.  There is also a “)” which denotes the closing of our day which is going to sleep.  What happens in between the “( “ &  “ )” is what we call as ‘life’.  Let’s look at this a little deeper. -         “)” will not be relevant if there is no “(“.  In other words, if we do not wake up, there is no sleep.  -         Waking up brings with it awareness of everything around us.  Sleep is a dissolution of everything around us. -         Waking up therefore brings consciousness along with it. -         In the material plane, waking is always associated with light.  Sleep is associated with darkness. -         Coming to the spiritual plane, waking corresponds to the awakening of the self, connoted as ‘jnaana’.  Anyone whose self is not awakened is in sleep which is connoted as ‘ajnaana’. -         In the material plane, while both waking and sleeping are
